One month has passed since the Iranian revolution. Forough and her husband travel to a villa outside of Tehran to rest. A stranger enters their lives. Forough realizes that this personable man is the same person that interrogated her before the revolution, someone who had mentally and physically abused her in prison. Forough decides to imprison him and bring him to confess. The stranger adamantly denies all and their conflict extends through the night. After much struggle, the stranger confesses and shrewdly escapes. But in the end . . .
